A little bit disappointed with the food from le petit coq.

Whilst the baguettes are made in house, they’re not really like normal baguettes; the texture is a bit close, they’re almost a little sweet and more akin to a sub roll. The ham was fine, but a little gristly in places. Not the worst jambon buerre I’ve had, but not great.

Staff seemed nice / friendly and the shop had good vibes. Sadly the food just isn’t for me.

Cracking sandwich shop, probably the best in the west end. I find the bread a little chewy for my personal preference, but it is very French in style, with excellent ingredients. Love the croissants and coffee too.

Came for lunch and sat outside. Toasted sandwiches were really delicious, served with a nice salad and coleslaw too. I had a smoothie which was also really nice. Staff were friendly and helpful and gave us proper cutlery even though it’s more of a takeaway place. Will definitely be back!

The sandwiches in here are so tasty - we got the goats cheese one & the roast beef one & they were both amazing. We will 100% be back as we would give them both 10/10! Sooo good ?

I’m obsessed with ‘the wee dip’ baguette. Honestly cannot recommend it enough. The homemade bread is delicious and the roast beef is great quality meat. Urge everyone to try !!

The sandwiches are overpriced but tasty, the baking goods are amazing and worth every price. BUT they sell instant hot choclate and do it for bigger price than coffee ? if you aspire to be knowing as a good quality, what this thing with a way overpriced instant hot choclate?
service sommtimes professional and friendly sommetimes not so it depends on the day I guess.

Overall, I excepted much more for this price and rumours

Oui dip (Roast beef sandwich) is so good , the mix of onion chutney, rocket , mild Dijon mustard sauce elevated the flavour to a superb level, addictive, returned the next day ?

So I've tried a number of the vegan baguettes and can report that they are super nice. The bread is just the right amount of chewy and crispy. The fillings are tasty and generous.

I'd say they are worth their £8 price tag even considering they are more costly than most.

So why 4 stars ? Well the rub comes from the creeping US disease of automatic tip prompts when paying electronically.

I'm not against tipping when you feel you've received exceptional service or food. The practice of expecting it (and pushing the purchaser) to provide it by default is unacceptable.
